Professionally

Jax (she/they) has over 12 years of experience in the mental health field; with almost 3 years in family based, and the last 3 years in private practice.  Jax received her masters in clinical mental health counseling in 2021, her LPC in 2024, completed her EMDR Therapy training in 2024, and is currently working toward their CCAT (Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist). Jax is on the Mid-Atlantic regional committee for the AEE (Association for Experiential Education), where she has presented workshops at the conference.

Projects

Jax is currently working on a few projects, including an Adventure Therapy VR program, completing her CCAT and EMDR Therapy Certification, and is working on connecting first responders to mental health services through The Cody Lambert Memorial Fund that was established after her brother, Cody, died by suicide.  Jax is involved with the AFSP locally with a group of volunteers developing a camp for kids who have experienced loss from suicide.  Jax strives to use her voice to advocate for the injustices in society toward certain people groups, and especially the LGBTQIA2S+ community that she is also a part of.

Personally

In their free time, Jax enjoys hiking with their dog, Fern, running, and just enjoying nature.  Jax is currently training for a race in March  to raise funds for The Cody Lambert Memorial Fund, which helps connect first responders to mental health services.  You can find out more about that here: https://www.cfalleghenies.org/fund/cody-lambert-memorial-fund/ as well as the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100094311574727
